What Women Want from Financial Advisors

The purse strings of American households have always been in the hands of women. But with the passing of World War II and Korean veterans, trillions of dollars in assets are moving into the hands of their wives. And those women are being cared for by their baby boomer daughters at home or in a nursing facility. Women are looking for financial advisers that they can trust and will take the time to listen to their opinions and questions. In this episode Dr. Barb Provost addresses some of the key aspects of working with women and their money. Syndicated financial columnist and talk show host Steve Savant interviews Dr. Barb Provost, adjunct professor at Roosevelt University in Chicago. With multiple Masters Degrees and a Doctorate in Adult and Continuing Education, Barbara Provost MS EdD is an expert in how adults learn. Her insights into women and money are considered at the forefront of the most neglected demographic among financial advisers. She has also developed training programs for Fortune 100 companies and is a Certified Coach of the International Coaching Federation.
